The Words of God to Live our Lives By:

The Content of the Heart is revealed through the Manner in which we Speak:

Prayer in Jesus Name:

My Heavenly Father, I come to you this day in the precious name of your Son, Jesus Christ the Righteous.  I ask that the words of my mouth be the words of your heart.

 Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

I Pray that all who would read this News Letter would learn to allow the Lord to lead them in a daily walk in this life.

 Proverbs 4:4-5
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. [5] Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

Please help me to put into words, what you are  impressing upon my heart, concerning the title of this News Letter.  “The Content of the heart is Revealed through the Manner in which we Speak” . . .

 Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

As I write this News Letter Father, I pray for all People that read it, for the Born Again that they would come to know the Lord better.  That they would gain the necessary knowledge that would allow them to speak Words of Life instead of the words that reflect the way the world speaks.  I also pray that those who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour that they would gain the faith and knowledge  needed to become Born Again Christians.   That they would allow the Lord Jesus Christ to be in control of the words that they speak.  I pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, A-Men:

Opening Scripture:

Proverbs 17:27
He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.

I must always be mindful of the words that I  speak.  For the manner in which I speak words is how others interpret what is truly within my heart.

 James 1:26
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

When I speak without first thinking, my words reveal to others the truth about my religion, revealing whether  it is vain or not.

 Ephes. 5:6
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

When I use the grace of God as a tool in governing the words that I use while talking, my words then will become uplifting and exalting, they will be Glorifying to the name of Jesus Christ.

 Col. 4:6
Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

The word salt in the Scripture represents a preservative.  To preserve something is to be able to keep it for a long time without it going bad. The salt that I should be using to season my words with is the Word of God.

 Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

And the Word of God is the only thing that will last forever; it will never go bad.

Exhortations by the Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit told me to write this News Letter  as if it were  written directly to me.  I said but Lord Why?  He told me that when others read these words me and I, they then will see this Letter as if it were written directly to them.

 Psalm 35:28
And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.

The Holy Spirit will only tell me, or remind me of the things that are written down in the Word of God.

 John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

That is why I must always strive to watch my tongue, to  mind what I say.  Does my manner of speech  reflect the mind of the Lord or the ways of the world?  That is why my manner of speech, is the thing that reveals to others the intent of my heart.

 Proverbs 8:6-7
Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. [7] For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

That is why I need to make a commitment to the leading of the Holy Spirit.  He then will control the focus of my mind, my heart, and my will to speak what is written in all the Scriptures.

 Titus 2:1
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

The things that I say truly do represent the things that are within my heart.  That is why I must always keep in mind what I say.  I must keep my tongue in submission to the Holy Spirit’s Power, allowing him to control my every word.

 Luke 12:12
For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

This last Scripture is an example of how I will speak when I give the control of my tongue to the  control of the Holy Spirit.  By allowing him to speak through me, I will be speaking the truth all the time.

1 Peter 4:11
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

While writing this, I said to the Lord, I do not lie.  I cannot talk about the things of God all the time.  Even when I talk about other things, like work or play or my kids, I try to tell the truth all the time.

 Ephes. 5:9
(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

Then the Lord gave me this answer.  He said, it is true that I must always speak the truth no matter what I say or talk about.

 Ephes. 4:15
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

The Lord told me that the problem is this.  Do I talk about other thing, more then I talk about the things of God?  Then He said, that the answer to this question can be found in the next Scripture.

 Philip. 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

When my mind is focused on the Word of God, and the Fruit of the Spirit, my Faith is then built up as the Word of God enters into my heart.  My mouth will then be controlled by my heart, bringing forth Words of Life.

 Psalm 141:3
Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Faith also comes through the reading of the Word of God aloud.  For when I hear the Word of God it is like a seed that is planted in the ground of my heart, and it brings forth the fruit of righteousness from my lips.

 Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

If I only speak of the things of the world, then the world must be what I have hidden within my heart.  Just like if I only speak about the things of the Lord then it must be that the Lord is what is hidden within my heart.

 Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

The words that  I speak, they reveal to others the contents of my heart.

 Proverbs 4:23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

In closing:

I would like to close this News Letter, with a word of encouragement.

 Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

It you find that you are having a hard time controlling your words, please submit your will to the Lord, He will change your words from the inside out.

 James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Closing Prayer:

 Ephes. 1:16
Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

My prayer today is that every person who reads this News Letter would come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.  That every Born Again Christian would learn to yield their whole body, mind, soul, and spirit to the controlling power of the Holy Spirit.  I Pray that words which are spoken by us would be Godly,  revealing the Love of God that is within us.  That we would be a living example of the Love of God in  the world today, A-Men:

 Titus 2:12
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
